Day 3,4,5

Short post for 3 days, but nothing very intense to report. I've stuck to my diet (all excepting a tiny bite of an english candy bar that I *had to have*.

I have found the hardest thing about this is the convenience factor. In the past, when a craving hit, I could just grab something to snack on and go. The carb thing is difficult to get around because its not particularly appetizing to grab a carrot or broccoli and munch away. Also I'm not really THAT hyped about eating meat yet, so I don't eat it when I'm hungry.

My pilates class yesterday was less than fun, but I feel better for it. The teacher just wasn't my style and I felt a little hypersensitive since I'm on my period as of today.

Weigh in on Monday! Tomorrow is my free day. I have no idea what I'm going to eat, but I think I deserve a delicious treat for my hard work this week! :D

Day 2

Easy day. Light, sporadic eating in the day time and then I splurged at dinner. It was Veggie Heaven, but I got the tofu, broccoli, & mushroom bowl in brown sauce with no rice. So, yes - diet friendly, except for the fact that the tofu had been fried. I really need to read that book about fat vs. sugar.

My workout today was difficult. I think I need to start taking B-12 again. After 20 minutes on the elyptical, my hands and feet went numb. I finished 46 minutes at 490 calories in 2 miles, which is pretty weak considering I usually burn closer to 650 calories in that amount of time. I drank some water and did some stretching and then came home. Not sure whats up with my workout, but hopefully I get back on track. Could be PMS - I know I'm close...

The good news about my workout today is that I weighed myself and was happy with the results. It was mid-day - I had already eaten twice and drank a ton of water. Plus I was wearing shoes and clothes. My weight came up as 201 - two and a half months ago it was 204. So - all things considered, I figure my true weight is somewhere around 197. HAPPY! As long as I'm under 200 - I'm on the right track. This week hopefully a few extra lbs will fall off due to the carb thing. :D

Day 1

Weekly weight:

Today was the start of the 90 day challenge. I'm feeling good. Last night, I had my "last supper", which consisted of the following:

2 fried vegan spring rolls
1 enormous portion of tofu pad thai
1 regular bag of pretzel m&m's

Yuck! I mean, it was delicious, don't get me wrong, but yuck! Today was pretty easy - I'm not suffering from the carb withdrawls yet. Had some watermelon and coffee for breakfast, carrots, hummus, and scrambled tofu for lunch, and chicken and broccoli with mushrooms and cabbage/cashew salad for dinner.

I had my first pilates class today. It was really great! The teacher (Elizabeth) was great and paid plenty of attention to everyone in the room. I can't lie and say that I'm in as good of shape as I thought I was, but maybe I'm also being a bit hard on myself. I'm obviously PMSing and I hadn't worked out in 5 days, so...that has to make up for something, right?
